As RCPS is still in development, we are in need of peers who want to make a difference by being champions for humanity by joining us in our work to fulfill our mission in alignment with our values and our vision to provide peer support and mental healthcare to those we serve in Riverside County.
We currently operate as an unpaid volunteer organization; however, we wish to have paid staff positions as we grow and solidify relationships and partnerships with agencies and other organizations, and as we receive funding.
All volunteers will receive comprehensive peer support training and additional training for the specific roles you choose. Completion of this training will benefit you as a volunteer and give you valuable peer support and mental health knowledge and skills, including crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and wellness coaching.
Additionally, volunteers may receive volunteer credit from their academic institution or other organizations or institutions.
We are calling on those that:
Have lived experience with mental health challenges
Have success on their journey of recovery
Have strength-based leadership skills
Believes in our Mission and Our Values
Willing to share your story and experiences
Those that are bilingual and multilingual
The Desire to Make RCPS a leader in Peer Support and Community Mental Health!
