One of the primary goals for School Mosaic at Zeeland Christian School is to connect, support one another and build community - between students AND as caregivers. ZCS Mosaic was started by a group of moms who have adopted children or are adoptees and are excited to create community with other adoptive, foster, and kinship families at ZCS. Our goal is to build supportive and encouraging relationships by coordinating events throughout the school year - we have the always requested pizza lunches, family meet ups, and more. It's going to be a great year!
New families are always welcome: families who have chosen adoption, foster care, refugee care, kinship care, or participate in Safe Families; families who are contemplating adoption, foster care, or safe families; families at ZCS who are not ready to bring a child(ren) into their homes, but want to be involved by stepping into the lives of families who have chosen to do this. All types of families are a blessing to our group!
Developing supportive relationships is at the heart of Jesus' and The School MOSAIC ministry. These intentional relationships strengthen ZCS Mosaic families, provide encouragement, understanding, and support to parents, while simultaneously striving to provide vulnerable and hurting children with community, normalcy, hope and belonging in the school setting.
