In February 2026, the Christina School District School Board, together with First State Educate, will be hosting a Candidate Forum for the candidates interested in filling the Christina Board Vacancy in Nominating District A. We are gathering public input to help shape the questions for the candidates.
The School Board has prioritized the following areas for its work as a board:
Vision & Goals: The Board will adopt goals based on the community's vision for what students should know and be able to do.
Values & Guardrails: The Board will adopt guardrails based on the community's values.
Monitoring & Accountability: The Board will devote significant time monthly to monitoring progress toward the goals.
Communication & Collaboration: The Board will lead transparently and include interested parties in the pursuit of the goals.
Unity & Trust: The Board will lead with one voice in its pursuit of the goals.
Continuous Improvement: The Board will invest time and resources toward improving its focus on student outcomes.
Community members are invited to submit up to three (3) questions related to these areas. Questions submitted through the form linked below will be reviewed to create a final set of 10 community-informed questions. During the candidate forum, five (5) of these questions will be asked.Please note that submissions that contain questions or comments about individual staff, personal matters, or operational issues will not be considered.
