We are putting together a full and exciting schedule of participatory activities led by members of the Scratch community. This is where YOU come in — we want you to participate!
This call is open to participants across the globe, and the deadline for submitting your idea is Friday 1 March.
We warmly welcome young people under 18 as session facilitators; they must be supported by an adult.
We are looking for the following content:
Friday afternoonProject demo: showcase a project (either by yourself or with young people) to encourage interaction and play a vital role in welcoming delegates!
Saturday/SundayWorkshop, 50 min. + 10 min. changeover: engage us in a hands-on computational activity; classroom-type seatingDiscussion, 30 min.: suggest a topic and key discussion points/questions; informal seatingPresentation, up to 20 min.: choose a relevant subject; in main auditoriumIgnite talk, 5 min.: be bold, challenge our thinking, spark interest; in small auditoriumPoster, 2-hour session: one trestle table, one power socket, approx. 1m sq space to display your content
All session leaders will be given free entry to the whole conference, we regret that we are unable to reimburse hotel or travel costs.
Scratch is a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab. It is available for free at scratch.mit.edu
