We will be traveling to Aurora, Colorado to play in the Youth Club Championships on 8/2-8/4. Team travel days will be either 7/31 or 8/1, returning late in the evening on 8/4 or during the day on 8/5.
All teams will have an additional regional tournament option in Blaine, Minnesota in late June or a local tournament-style day of play.
We welcome players of all genders and gender-identities to apply to play on one of our youth club teams this summer. USAU's Non-Binary and Transgender Inclusion Policy (linked below) allows all players to play in the youth club championships according to their gender identity and to choose the division that they would prefer to play in.
MUFA has generous scholarship opportunities for players and financial concerns about the cost of being on the team should not deter you from applying. We'll provide an opportunity for you to tell us about your financial need as a part of the roster acceptance process.
Tryout Dates:
Players are encouraged to attend all tryouts for teams that they wish to play on. We will consider individuals who attend any tryouts, but more opportunities for coaches and teams to see you play is always better.
NOTE: Players who are eligible to play in the U17 Boys Division will not be considered for U20 Mixed or U20 Boys spots this year. Our program has grown to the point where we have ample boys division players for each age range, so we will align with the practice of other communities across the country by having players play in the age-appropriate division for them.

While we strive to be the most competitive on-field as we can be, MUFAbots is about more than that. Our teams serve as important developmental spaces for our community, building the strength of our community to play at a more competitive level. We expect these teams to provide lots of opportunities for fun, learning, and growth, and to build their competitive presence at the tournament over time. We believe that every one of our teams has the capacity to be successful at YCC and look forward to welcoming players who are invested in creating a positive team culture, to work hard to improve, and to be prepared to give it our all as a team on the field.
Talent alone does not guarantee a spot on a MUFAbots team.
We work to include players from every school community on MUFAbots teams, and ensure that teams represent multiple school communities. MUFAbots teams take pride in finding joy in competition, balancing competitive play with respect for our opponents, respect for the rules of the game, and valuing the principles of spirit of the game.
MUFA will not tolerate discriminatory, racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, or other harmful language at tryouts. Instances of dangerous play during tryouts, a lack of a team-based mindset, or play that displays win-at-all-costs behavior or is otherwise unspirited will be a detriment to a player's chances of making a MUFAbots team. If coaches or tryout evaluators see or hear this behavior at a tryout we will have a conversation with the player(s) and expect that you'll implement feedback immediately. Failure to implement this feedback will severely limit your chances of making a MUFAbots team.
