Support the retention of the former residence of Bruce Lee
Ms. Carrie Lam,
Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region
People’s Republic of China

Preserving the former residence of Bruce Lee is a win-win-win solution

Background:
The former residence of Bruce Lee is about to be demolished. We are writing to urge the HKSAR Government to take swift action to address the matter and to spare no effort to preserve it, so as to:

1. protect a world-class site of cultural heritage; preserve the “collective memory” about Bruce Lee for the people of Hong Kong and the world
2. develop the residence into a “Bruce Lee Memorial Hall” – a unique international tourist ‘s attraction

Our plea:

Since the late Hong Kong philanthropist Mr. Yu Pang-lin considered to put the former residence of Bruce Lee located at 41 Cumberland Road, Kowloon Tong on sale in 2008, voices to protect it has never stopped for 11 years. Sadly, the present owner of the residence has informed us that the former residence will be completely demolished soon, in other words, it will soon be bulldozed to the ground!
