Everyone in the Room

The Founders Room at the Field Museum
1400 South Lake Shore Drive, Chicago*

How can we ensure that our cultural spaces are as welcoming as possible for everyone? Your organization might have access offerings for specific disability types, but what happens if a family or individual with more than one disability wants to visit your venue? Some scenarios to consider: a ticketing system that considers multiple wheelchair-users purchasing tickets together, families with a disabled parent and child, attendees with hearing and vision loss. Learn from a panel of visitors with various disabilities who will share their experiences, and how Chicago's cultural organizations can push the envelope on access offerings. We'll explore ideas to help us work together to make Chicago even more accessible - so that everyone is welcome in the room.
