DSG Junior League 2025/26
This form is to register a school team to the DSG Junior League 2025/26.

Registration is open until 9th of November 2025.

The tournament takes place on the following dates:
THU, 22 JAN 2026 (Rounds 1 & 2)
TUE, 3 MAR 2026 (Rounds 3 & 4)
MON, 27 APR 2026 (Rounds 5 & 6)
FRI–SUN, 19–21 JUN 2026 (Finals Weekend in Tübingen)

Dates for Abitur exams, public holidays, school holidays, Senior League, and other pertinent factors have been taken into account when determining these dates.

Junior League 2025/26 is organised by Salah El Kaleh, Kiara Schembs and Robert Foglszinger.

DSG e.V. membership condition
In order to take part in Junior League 2025/26, schools that have participated in Junior OR Senior League 2024/25 or previous seasons must be members of Debating Society Germany e.V.
If this is not your school's first year of participation and you have not yet submitted the membership form, please do so as soon as possible or registration for this season will be denied.

Hosting *
We are expecting the Junior League 2025/26 season to be held in-person. If you are available and willing to host at least one of the preliminary days, please indicate your preferred hosting date(s) below.

Please note that DSG e.V. will be able to reimburse a certain level of expenses (i.e. for providing drinks and snacks for the participants) to hosts.

Any team bringing more than 8 speakers to a host venue should inform the host prior to the debate day.

Participation Fee *
The participation fee for Junior League 2025/26 (covering organizational costs and support for host schools) is € 50 per team.

Debating Society Germany e.V. operates on a non-profit basis. All participation fees are used directly and entirely for Junior League.

Please do not transfer any money to DSG e.V. without first having received an invoice after the registration period closes in November.

A new version of the tournament rules has been released in accordance with the decisions made at the 2023/24 Senior League Annual Meeting. Please download and familiarize yourself with the updated rules here: https://www.schoolsdebate.de/images/pdf/Rules_Update_2024.pdf (changes highlighted in green).

Please also make your debaters aware of the rules.
Conferral judging *
Starting from this year we have also incorporated conferral judging in Junior League. This means that before handing in ballots you already hold the judges discussion, after which you may still change your decision (or keep it).
