THE HISTORY OF SCOUTING IN RAFFLES INSTITUTION

Be first again as a Raffles Scout!

We Raffles Scouts scored many firsts. We now invite YOU to achieve another first!
Join us to see and hear about ALL our achievements in the recent past.

The Raffles Institution Archives and Museum is now ready for visitors.
And former Scouts of RI will organise the FIRST event to be held there.

Noted historian and author Dr Kevin Tan will give a presentation on

THE HISTORY OF SCOUTING IN RAFFLES.

He will show lots of pictures and recount many Scouting stories from the
50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and more recently. You will hear of swimming in the
Stamford Canal, tackling Gunong Tahan, climbing Everest, and other uplifting,
but not tall tales.

Scouts who actually took part in those events have already promised to come.
Their ages range from the 80s to the 20s. YOU must come too.

Talk to them, talk to your old Patrol mates, and see if you can spot yourself
in the many memorable old pictures that will be on display.

Best of all, this invitation is FREE. But for catering arrangements, you must register.
