Science communication
has recently been gaining momentum, and the Internet, social media, and online
streaming offer an enticing buffet of potential science communication (scicomm) tools and platforms.
But how do we use these tools to reach audiences, share information, and
perhaps even change attitudes and behaviors? Dr. Sheryl Hosler will
share her personal online scicomm journey and a few tips and tricks to survive
as a scientist on social media. The talk will feature Sheryl’s innovative
collaborative scicomm project, Nature Check.
