Clubhouse Development - Member Survey
Thanks to our recent land sale we are now able to move on with the potential upgrades to our clubhouse facilities. In early 2018 we undertook a large scale survey of the whole club, facilities, course and service. Since then we have had a substantial number of new members join the club and we believe it is important to hear from all the membership. The purpose of the survey is to offer all our members an opportunity to input ideas and comments about the development of the clubhouse in line with our Mission statement ‘The provision of a superb golfing experience both on and off the course for all our members, families and guests. An inclusive Club which believes great golf should be available for all and is the club of choice within our local area’.

Some of the prospective projects are brought forward from the original survey where the top results seemed to be improvement of changing facilities and the introduction of a spike bar or similar. Other questions relate to feedback received by the club management and board over the last couple of years. Our challenge now is to determine which potential projects will provide greatest benefit to our members, families and guests. Your responses will be included with information given to our project managers and architects to assist with drawing up plans for the upgrades.

This survey is specific to the clubhouse and its facilities and does not include any projects or investment in the golf course which will be dealt with and communicated in a different way. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey.

How important is it to modernise and extend changing rooms for both gents and ladies - to include additional capacity. *
This could include new showers/toilets as well as lockers for valuables for all members/visitors
Less important
Very Important
Would you make use of golf club storage facility? *
Such as secure on site container (or similar) storage
Unlikely
Almost certainly
Would you make use of trolley storage facility? *
To include battery charging facility
Would you like to see an improvement in both the restaurant facility and the menu for the benefit of club members but additionally to give us the option to offer our facilities to the wider community for functions (e.g. weddings, birthdays, reunions etc.) in less busy times? *
Not realy
Definitely
Assuming investment in the restaurant / kitchen along with an improved menu and service, would you make more use of the facility? *
What do you think we should do with our Half-way house? *
Many golfing facilities are renown for their half-way house ...it can be a differentiator. The requirement is to better serve all golfers half way through their round. (To include service hours and food/drink options available plus improved toilet facilities)
Should the club incorporate a reception area for all visits to the club - be it for golf, functions, restaurant or meetings. *
The current layout of the clubhouse precludes an obvious point of welcome and can give the impression of being unfriendly. The thinking is a reception area would mean everyone arriving at the club could be welcomed and directed as appropriate.
Not sure
Great idea!
Should the club create dedicated or distinctive areas/rooms to include: *
* #1 For golfers to enjoy bar/catering services in golfing attire including golf shoes, #2 An 'exclusive' area for members, #3 For members/guests wanting to pop-in to enjoy a non-golf related barista-style coffee / tea, cakes & pastries etc. #4 An area to include table- tennis, air-hockey, games console or similar primarily for juniors and others who may be interested.

Were the club to offer a multi-purpose area to include options for: pilates, yoga, golf-specific stretching/warm-up, plus could also provide additional meeting space, Would you use the space? *
This would mean the ability to provide classes that members can join such as Pilates, Yoga and Dance, golf specific core strength/stretching to enhance stability and flexibility.
