NB and its coaching team, Ed Wright, Rob McMillan and Rob Brewer are offering a program of training, racing and regattas on Sydney harbor and Melbourne in the period 16 October until the 22nd of December 2017. An additional training block will occur after Christmas for those who do not intend to travel to Miami – subject to interest.
Our approach and philosophy is structured, open and collaborative, we are happy to work with teams, other coaches so that that sailors and teams get the best possible outcome from training.
The plan will be for sailors to ship boats to Australia following the FGC in Hungary. There is an excellent local market for disposal of older Fantasticas and other equipment, for those contemplating upgrade in 2018 or assistance can be provided with on shipping or storing equipment.
The plan will be as follows:
-Sailing on Sydney harbor 5 day per week for approximately 3 hrs per session in varied location with different sea states. Noting more sailing and racing is also available!
-Participation in the Sail Sydney regatta (at the training venue)
-Transport and participation in the Sail Melbourne Regatta on Port Phillip Bay (same waters as the proposed 2019/2020 FGC venue)
-We will have facilities for :*Sail amendments*Mast measuring*Boat modifications/rigging and access to our workshop at the venue
-We aim to also provide solutions for cost effective accommodation and transport – subject to interest.
On the next page is a questionnaire we would appreciate you completing. This gives us some indication on the level of interest and also gives sailors, teams and coaches an idea of the range of services and assistance we can provide.
Please note that the academy runs year round with options for training at any time.
