MuLab is set up under the Environment and Conservation
Fund Pilot Scheme for Reducing
Environmental Nuisance During Renovation Works in the Community,
operated by GHM Greater Bay Area Institute of Urban Architecture (Hong Kong).
The objectives of the project are:
- To
raise public awareness of environmental nuisance caused by renovation works in
the community through surveys and promotional campaigns
- To
promote the use of noise and dust suppression tools in the industry through
demonstration and various training courses
During the MuLab tour, there will be
1. briefing
on the background of this Environment and Conservation Fund Pilot Scheme
2. live
demonstration of reduced nuisance by using environmental-friendly renovation
tools versus traditional equipment; and
3. discussion
session for you to share your valuable thoughts and expert opinion on the
current renovation practice in Hong Kong, the key challenges and opportunities
in adopting environmental-friendly renovation tools, and your views and
suggestions on how to reduce nuisance during renovation works in the community
Your comments and ideas will be gathered and organized in
aggregate and conveyed to relevant departments to help create better
communities by reducing nuisance during renovation work.
