Over the last 15 years, Justice Vincent Del Giudice has been by far the most punitive active judge in New York City and its suburbs, so much so that appellate courts have reduced 19 of his sentences for being too excessive. The active judge with the next most such reversals has 8, and the overwhelming majority of judges presiding over criminal cases have none.
