MISSION STATEMENTUnify, represent and grow the craft beer community
Definition of a Craft Brewer - Independent - No partial ownership by a major international brewer with over 5% market share in SA. Traditional - At least 80% of production is beer derived from malted cereal grains.
Full Membership:Full Membership of the organisation is open to:i. Craft beer and cider breweries, including those that only contract produce (i.e. brew for third-party craft brand owners).ii. Craft beer brand owners, provided their products are routinely for sale and that their products are brewed at a member brewery.
Affiliate Membership: All other participants in the craft beer industry including individuals, suppliers, distributors and retailers are eligible for Affiliate Membership.
Board Eligibility: Only Full Members are eligible to nominate, vote for or serve on the Board of Directors of CBASA.
Fees: A R500-00 joining fee is payable for Membership of Craft Brewers Association of South Africa (“CBASA”). Membership fees will be tiered and will be submitted to members for approval at the AGM.
Affiliate members are required to pay R2000 per annum to have their business details listed on our website directory.
