[P3] Merchant Rules - All Hunts
IF YOUR HUNT APPLICATION IS APPROVED WE WILL ASSUME YOU UNDERSTAND THESE RULES - READ THEM - Last Update: 22 April 2017
We reserve the right to turn down applications for stores that do not fit our needs/requirements. Stores who do not follow these rules can and will be dropped. Children's Stores will not be accepted. Our hunts are dark, sometimes gory, and may contain adult/sexual content. [ONLY El Dia De Los Muertos will accept children's stores, but realize there will be adult content/sims in the hunt and your hunters will be subject to those stores' rules].
Your answer
Absolutely NO Copyright infringing items. If you are selling art or logos, items ripped from video games, etc that are not free for you to use or in public domain you will not be accepted into this hunt. NO exceptions. If your store is approved do not add these items later. We will check and you will be dropped. Legacy stores are also subject to this rule. Applications will be rejected even if we love you. We take copyright infringement seriously.
Your answer
Be Reasonable about landing areas and how far your shop is from them: A shop being 60 meters from landing is the furthest we will tolerate. Any further than that is too far. Please be aware that your shop will be dropped if you move the shop and set up forced landing after it has been approved.
Your answer
Do not apply to be in the hunt with one shop and then use a second location as the real stop. Adding a landmark giver to a satellite store that directs hunters to a second location without notifying the hunt orgs is NOT OK. You will be dropped. If you want people to visit your satellite stores, include a landmark or notecard in your BOXED gift.
Your answer
No resellers; items in your shop need to be original to your store/brand. If you use templates (mesh or system layers) this is fine, so long as you use your own textures and not the default ones the item came with. If you sell breedables or pets, you must also sell original content. No Business In A Box - many of these are copy botted and are not OK. Shops with multi-vend only are OK. Shops trying to use this hunt to get people to resell their items is NOT OK. In other words - do NOT add resell boxes to your hunt gift.
Your answer
Marketplace Only shops; We understand that a lot of people are dropping inWorld stores. Due to this a special location at my store will be set up for web only stores. You will need to join my store group to rez prims. Your web store must have 20 unique items for sale, so get cracking on those uploads you bum! Guilty as charged. *blushes*
Your answer
InWorld Shops; Your store must have 20 unique items for sale. No, 20 pairs of the same boots in different colors does not count. The only exception to this will be shops that specialize in makeup, skin and nail appliers, because I understand how templates work and how long it takes to perfect all those pesky layers.
Your answer
Don't just throw something you would normally trash into your hunt prim and call it done. Your gift reflects your effort and lets hunters know what they can expect when they shop in your store. Grabbing a template [system or mesh] and throwing it into the hunt prim without making any effort to recolor or re-texture it is going to be obvious. Don't do it.
Your answer
NO billboard items. Putting a logo on a t-shirt is not a great gift, no matter how pretty your logo is. Exception: when it is used properly to brand an item, like the label on a pair of jeans or the stamp on the sole/insole of a pair of shoes.
Your answer
NO Repeat Gifts: I get it, things get crazy busy in real life, but I think we can all agree you probably have more than that one dress or that one household item in your inventory ready to give as a hunt gift. At least re-texture it, so people can feel like they are collecting a set instead of feeling cheated when they get the same thing for the second or third hunt in a row. Please, after two hunts, consider changing the item. Even re-textured, a person can only use so many floor lamps or heart shaped sunglasses.
Your answer
If you make an applier you need to include some form of notification so the hunter knows what it works with. If you make the base item the applier is for, please consider including a simplified/exclusive version of the item. If the applier is for a system layer item (tattoo, clothing, etc) please consider including the system layer along with the applier. Not everyone is using mesh bodies, heads, etc. I understand it is not always possible to include the system layer, so this is not required, it's just a nice thing to do.
Your answer
When you hide your prim it MUST be somewhat visible; Do not hide them in walls, in floors or in anything closed. It’s in a prim with an open side? No problem, just make sure the open side is accessible to view and not flat against another prim or covered by another prim (no jars with closed lids, for example).
Your answer
If your store is massive use the provided hunt path to guide the hunters to the right area. Feel free to lead them on a merry chase through your store, just make sure they end up somewhere near the item.
Your answer
Don't Be Late! Follow the timeline for the hunt you applied to. It's there for a reason. If you are having some kind of difficulty, contact me. I am more than willing to work with people who are experiencing RL and SL issues and need more time to get things ready. People who do not contact me will not be afforded the extra time.
Your answer
If you are notified that there is an issue you will be given 24 hours to reply before your shop is skipped. After 48 hours your store will be dropped. NO EXCEPTIONS.
