PREP Student Application - Fall 2025
The Pre-calculus Readiness and Excellence Program (PREP) is the a 1.5 unit class designed for the motivated student seeking to overcome challenges such as a long absence from math coursework, previous unsuccessful attempts at pre-calculus, or the need for a stronger math foundation.

PREP is partially funded by the MESA program and priority will be given to students in the Cabrillo MESA program or students who are eligible for MESA. The MESA program is for students who are transfer-bound, Calculus-based STEM majors, first generation and receive financial aid.

Estimated Time Needed to Complete PREP Application: ~20 minutes

Fall 2025: Math-4 Pre-Calculus Course - Section Dates and Times *
Upon selection for the PREP program, a PREP faculty member will help you register/enroll in one of the in-person PREP sections of Math 4.

Please select which section of Math 4 works best with your schedule of classes.
Do you have any questions or concerns?
What next, after applying?

While you are waiting to hear from a PREP team member, make sure to register for a section of Math 4 that fits your schedule (one that is not restricted and has open seats or waitlisted).  Once a PREP instructor reviews your application and connects with you they will determine if you are eligible.  If you are, they will help you with registration for the PREP related courses that have reserved seats.  If you are not, you may be asked if you would like to be put on a wait list.  Therefore, it's a good idea to register for an open section of Math 4.

If you have any further questions, please email Emilyn Green <emgreen@cabrillo.edu> and/or Crysta Aramburu <crarambu@cabrillo.edu>.
