All Nebraska Excavators and Utility Operators are encouraged to attend these FREE meetings hosted by Nebraska 811. We are offering two events combined on a one day agenda - a stakeholder meeting and a locate workshop. You are welcome to attend either one or both of the meetings. The Stakeholder meetings are for any stakeholder to the One Call Process including excavators, members and third party locators. Locating workshops are mainly for those who use a locating machine to locate underground facilities but anyone who is interested in learning how locating works is welcome. It is highly recommended for those attending the locating workshop to also attend the stakeholder meeting.
Stakeholder Meeting topics will include:
- Safe digging and damage prevention
- One-Call law, rules and regulations
- New enforcement effective 9/2024
- Placing locate requests online or by phone
- Nebraska 811 technology updates
- Q&A open forum interactive discussion
Locating Workshop:
A locate workshop will be offered after some of the meetings. See the list below to find out which locations will offer it. The free workshop is available to all individuals that perform underground utility locating in Nebraska. Whether you are a seasoned professional or just learning the skill of underground locating, this workshop is for you!
