Where does your school bank?

The big banks from JPMorgan Chase to Bank of America caused the financial crisis through their incessant risk taking and predatory lending practices. They profit off student loans that take advantage of students and refuse to help homeowners who can't afford to pay their ridiculous mortgages even though the banks got them into this situation and were themselves bailed about by taxpayers. We're mapping the college-bank connections to help students, community groups and other people around the country to take on the banks and their predatory practices.

Before you fill this out take a minute to find out what banks your school uses. Don't know where to start? Take a look at the paycheck you or your friend gets from the school each month, a check cut to your group by the student government and see what bank has a branch on campus or is giving out credit cards at orientation. Or- what might be the easiest way, google 'name of your college' and 'wire instructions.' That will give you something like this:

The stock should be transferred into the college's Merrill Lynch account:
Reed's Merrill Lynch account number: 31107885
Reed's Tax Identification Number: 93-0386908
DTC number: 5198

Which is one place your school banks! (Merrill Lynch is part of Bank of America)
