Submit this form to be considered for Rails Comedy's sketch shows at The DC Arts Center. Acts are booked on a rolling basis – apply ASAP. You can request multiple performance dates in one submission. Rails Comedy will reach out if there is a fit.

ABOUT THE SHOWS:

Etch A Sketch is a scripted comedy show where each team or individual is given a 5-15 minute slot to perform sketches and characters. Performers are encouraged to craft a show that fits them, write one-to-many sketches, and use new material. Whether you're early into your sketch journey or a seasoned vet, sketch teams and players of all experience levels are encouraged to apply!

Standards of Conduct

By performing in this show, I acknowledge that any racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, or otherwise discriminatory behavior or comments will not be allowed. Per Rails Comedy's Discipline Policy, performers who display such behavior may be asked to leave or permanently expelled. Behavior resulting in immediate dismissal includes, but is not limited to: threats or acts of violence, inebriation, and violation of our Standards of Conduct.

Complaint and Reporting Procedure

Any performer who experiences or witnesses a violation of these policies on Rails Comedy property or environment should contact the Executive Producer, Walker Green, at walker@railscomedy.com. The performer is encouraged to report the incident to the proper authorities and seek medical care when applicable. All concerns and complaints will be treated with confidentiality to the extent practicable without compromising the investigation and/or resolution of the matter and will be investigated thoroughly and promptly. No one at Rails Comedy may reprimand, retaliate, or discriminate against an individual for raising a concern, making a complaint, and/or participating in an investigation. Any individual who believes that they have been retaliated against in any manner should report the matter to the Executive Producer at walker@railscomedy.com.

Rails Comedy is committed to providing all performers with a safe, productive, and fun environment. This commitment encourages an open and frank atmosphere where any problem, concern, or question can be addressed and discussed. These can include but are not limited to medical, safety, or accessibility concerns. If you have any concerns about your team or Rails Comedy that you do not feel comfortable sharing with your teammates, please contact the Executive Producer, Walker Green, at walker@railscomedy.com.
