Why We Ask These Questions
At Ty Nant Cat Sanctuary, we take in a wide range of cats with very different needs. To keep every cat safe and to make sure we can provide the right care from day one, we need detailed information before a cat comes into the sanctuary.
Most of our cats share rooms, and we have limited isolation space, so we must be extremely careful about any health issues that could spread. Understanding a cat’s medical history, recent symptoms, behaviour, and daily routine helps us:
- make sure we have the appropriate space and resources available
- protect the health of the cats already in our care
- plan any vet treatment the cat may need
- reduce stress by placing the cat in the most suitable room
- match the cat to the right foster or adoptive home
- use our limited funds responsibly by avoiding preventable outbreaks or unexpected medical costs
We never judge anyone’s circumstances. Your honesty simply helps us give your cat the safest transition possible and ensures we can continue protecting the wellbeing of every cat who relies on us.
Please answer all relevant questions fully, failure to do so will delay your cat being added to our waiting list.
