Bonneville High School Parking Regulations

Unfortunately parking at Bonneville High School is limited. Parking spaces/lots are not assigned to individuals, groups, or classes. Parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Purchase of a tag does not guarantee a parking space. Students are encouraged to carpool or use the bus. Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk and responsibility. Please lock your vehicle at all times. Please report all accidents and damages to the office immediately.

Student parking tags cost $10.00

All student cars must display a Bonneville parking hang tag with the tag number visible while parking in a BHS parking lot.

Students who do not follow the parking regulations are subject to school and/or city fines.

Faculty/Staff Parking: ($10 fine) under no circumstances should a student park in faculty/staff parking. Staff members are required to come and go throughout the day in order to fulfill their various responsibilities. Please respect the staff’s parking privileges.

Visitor parking: ($10 fine) Visitor parking is reserved for parents and community members who need to visit the school for a short period of time. Students are only permitted to park in student parking.

Failure to display a parking tag: ($10 fine) A student’s tag must be visibly displayed from the rear-view mirror. If a tag is lost/stolen then it must be re-purchased in order to secure parking privileges. If problems are communicated in a timely manner then this fine may be applied to the purchase of a new tag.

Parking outside of a designated parking stall: ($10 fine) Parking stalls are designed to protect bus lanes, fire lanes, delivery zones, and travel lanes. Parking in these lanes restricts the flow of traffic. Parking outside of red lines or along red curbs is a fire-code violation and subject to school and/or city fines. Please park only in designated parking stalls, one stall per vehicle, and off of grass, sidewalks, etc.

Repeated parking violations will result in an increase of fines, the placement of a restrictive tire-boot ($35 to remove), and/or towing at the owner’s expense (approx. $100).

IMPORTANT: If there are questions or concerns regarding your parking ticket(s), those need to be addressed within a week of receiving the ticket. Any concerns brought up after this time may not be heard and you will be responsible for those fines.

We (parent/student) hereby agree to abide by all parking regulations and expectations at Bonneville High School. I am fully aware of the penalties for violating the Bonneville High School Parking Regulations.
