As a responsible consumer of cannabis flower, concentrates, and concentrate-based products, I join Vermont Growers Association in calling on the Vermont legislature to remove the THC caps in Act 164 (2020) with the prohibitive product reforms proposed by Vermont Growers Association.

I want legal access to safe, clean, unadulterated cannabis flower, concentrates, and the many concentrate-based products consumers enjoy in an adult-use marketplace, such as edibles, tinctures, salves, topicals, and more. Vermont is the only state in the nation with THC caps, these arbitrary restrictions have no legislative or science-based precedent and will have a profound impact on the safety, cleanliness, and general availability of flower, concentrates, and concentrate-based products for consumers in the Vermont adult-use marketplace and keep local producers in the illicit market.

NORML and other prominent national cannabis advocacy organizations have joined in calling for THC caps to be rejected by individual states, as NORML's State Policies Manager Carly Wolf says, "A cap is arbitrary and is not in the best interest of consumers who deserve the legal option to access varying strains of cannabis of varying potencies. Imposing such a blanket ban on these higher-potency products will not eliminate the demand for said products, but it will succeed in driving this market underground — making it unregulated and unsafe."
