This two week intensive workshop provides students, grades 4 -12, an introduction to various aspects of a theatrical production. Primarily designed for those with little or no previous theater experience, this workshop will explore the fundamentals of stage performance through active participation with theater professionals. Topics covered will include auditioning, vocal techniques, improvisational skills, choreography, cast etiquette, costumes, make-up, stage craft and stage tech. Classes will be held at the Fountaindale Library. The session will conclude with a student run showcase performance on Friday, June 14 at 4:00 pm in Meeting Room A at Bolingbrook Fountaindale Public Library.
The Bolingbrook Arts Council is covering all expenses for select students however enrollment is limited. Selection will be based upon the student's response to the question: "Why is attending the Theater Arts Workshop important to you?" included on the application link.
