The 2025 BCCCon will be held in Memphis, TN, on Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1. Amy Schumacher-Rutherford and the University of Mississippi are your conference hosts. We invite two proposal types: 15-minute TED Talk-style presentations, and hour-long workshops/facilitated discussions. Presenters can feature innovative pedagogical strategies and tools, facilitate a discussion and/or activities among attendees related to contemporary challenges, or focus on other relevant topics. You should describe your challenge or success related to your topic to set a framework for your audience and provide a brief rationale for its inclusion in the conference.
For
15-minute, TED-Talk style presentations: Please provide an abstract of 150 to
250 words describing what you would like to present. Include a statement of
relevance of your topic to basic course instruction or administration.
For hour-long workshops/facilitated discussions:
Please provide a brief description of the workshop/discussion you wish to
present including a statement of relevance of your topic to basic course
instruction or administration. Also include two to four discussion questions
that will be discussed and/or provide a description of activities to be
completed in small groups during your session.
