How Jews Have Combated Antisemitism in America, from the 17th Century to Today

The late master educator Norman H. Finkelstein's compelling new book, Saying No to Hate: Overcoming Antisemitism in America, takes us on a lightning tour of 370 years of American Jewish history.

Finkelstein, a two-time National Jewish Book Award winner, analyzes everything from New Amsterdam governor Peter Stuyvesant’s 1654 efforts to push out Jews to the ways American Jews tried to help European Jews during the Holocaust.

In a new three-part My Jewish Learning course, Rabbi Barry L. Schwartz will illuminate the lessons of the past, exploring how Jews throughout American history have combated the antisemitism they faced.

Thursdays at 1 p.m. ET, Sept. 5-19
