What is the format of summer school?
Courses are asynchronous with no daily lectures. Once registered, you can access materials via Google Classroom or printed booklets. While you may work ahead, firm deadlines apply for all assignments and midterms starting in July.
How do I get help or feedback?
Teachers are available via Google Meet, email, phone, or in person at the Trinity Learning Centre. Please refer to the July teacher schedule for specific availability, noting that times are subject to change.
What is the timeline for completion?
You can start as soon as you receive your materials.
- Firm Deadlines: All assignments must be handed in on or before the due date.
- Flexibility: You are encouraged to work ahead and finish early if possible.
How do exams work?
English, Social, Math and Science all have a mid-term and final exam.
Psychology and Forensic Science classes all have a final exam. All exams are to be completed in person at Trinity Learning Centre under teacher supervision.
- Mid-Term: Needs to be completed on or before date set by teacher.
- Final Exam: Needs to be completed on or before noon on Thursday, July 23.
How can I be successful in summer school?
- Utilize In-Person Support: If possible, attend Trinity Learning Centre regularly to work on your
assignments. Being in a focused environment with direct access to teacher help can significantly
improve your progress.
- Establish a Routine: Dedicate specific hours each day to your coursework to avoid falling behind.
Track Your
- Deadlines: Review the July deadline schedule immediately and mark assignment due dates and midterm and final exam dates in your calendar.
- Proactive Communication: Reach out to your teacher as soon as you hit a roadblock; don't wait until the day an assignment is due.
- Work Ahead: Take advantage of early access to materials to build a "buffer" in case you need extra time for more difficult units later.
