FCO Repertoire suggestion form
Please use this form, with as much detail as possible, to recommend future repertoire that you would like to perform with the Fenton Community Orchestra. Please consider the size, capabilities of the ensemble, and technical challenges, as well as the instrumentation when making suggestions. Submitting the form doesn't guarantee that we will perform the work, but it helps the music director in the selection process. Our standard instrumentation is:
Woodwinds: Flute/Piccolo, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinets in Bb, Bass Clarinet in Bb (Alto Sax in Eb, Tenor Sax in Bb)
Brass: Trumpets in Bb, Horns in F, Trombone, Bass Trombone, Tuba in Bb (Euphonium/Baritone in Bb)
Strings: Violins, Violas, Celli, Basses
Music written for particular or specific instruments, or from certain baroque or classical eras may contain parts for: Piccolo in D, Clarinets in A, Trumpets in A or C, Horns in Eb, Baritone Treble Clef, etc. These instruments are rare, and make it extremely challenging for us to use the music, as it has to be transposed by hand. Works with these parts are discouraged, please find a suitable arrangement that includes parts for our standard instrumentation.
