TRASHION SHOW Registration

What is Trashion? Fashion made from discarded and recycled materials to raise awareness of our landfill’s limited capacity, divert waste, and promote recycling and sustainability efforts.

When is the Trashion Show? Saturday October 3rd 2026 12:00 pm at Lydgate Park Main Pavilion on Kauaʻi, Hawaiʻi.

Enter this Trashion Show–Calling all Hawaiʻi-based kids and adults! Enter as an individual or as a team. Get creative, have fun, and win prizes with this community art event presented by the Garden Island Arts Council and made possible by the County of Kaua’i! Start creating your outfit now! Read all the rules HERE and complete registration below. The deadline to register to enter is September 20th at midnight.

If you are entering a garment as a team, only one person from your team needs to complete this registration form. Please list all team members' names. Maximum of 4 team members per entry.

Please describe the "trash" materials used in your entry. 

Note that garments must be made from at least 80% “trash” materials (recyclable or reused materials that would otherwise be thrown away or recycled). Garments can include marine debris, cardboard, steel/tin, aluminum, plastics, paper cartons, chipboard, newspaper, mixed paper, paper bags, found objects and other materials. For this contest, green waste and natural materials (sticks, plant or animal material, etc) are NOT considered trash, please refrain from using them. Binding materials may be used to hold the pieces together. These might include glue, tape, string, twine, staples, and other materials. These materials may be purchased new and should be used sparingly. If your garment materials are attached to a fabric base, this cannot be bought new.
