The start of the BBBxLHG Summer Series! We're bringing our beetleweight arena event back to the legendary Left Handed Giant Taproom, Bristol on Saturday 24th May. Arrive from 11:30, Tech checks 11:45am, Fights 1pm onwards.

This Priority Signup form is first-come-first served. This event is full combat beetle rules. (not pub rules.)

Please only enter once per team. You must meet one of the following criteria:

A new robot is classed as one that has not fought before in any incarnation - no updates, rebuilds or continued lineage
New teams are ones where this will be their first, second or third ever beetle event they’ve competed at.
A returning builder, who hasn’t competed in beetleweights since 2022 or before.

Failure to comply with this may lose you your slot at proof of mobility - We have so much respect for new builders, anyone returning and anyone building outside of their comfort zone - we ask for this respect returned by upholding the intended spirit of the event.

Within 24 hours of signup, the team will email you with an update on your signup status - whether successful, unsuccessful, or if more detail is needed.

You will then have 24 hours to submit your £15 entry fee to secure your slot.

Proof of mobility is due by Sunday 11th May to bbb.gd/newpom to ensure you'll be ready for the event. If you do not meet this deadline your slot will be offered to a reserve. Proof of mobility is a newly filmed video clip of your entry demonstrating driving without external influence (the robot’s chassis on the ground, all electronics contained). We do not expect a finished robot for PoM.

If any slots remain after 1 week, we will open these up on a 1-hour lottery basis for anyone else on the 8th April.

The competition will be run using the familiar Showdown format, (all competitors will get at least 3 competition fights), with a Swiss twist.
