Sawtooth Valley Gathering Volunteer Application
We are accepting applications to volunteer for Sawtooth Valley Gathering 2025. Please come with an open heart and a kind spirit, ready to rock and roll to create a welcoming space for all!

Dates:  Wed. June 18 - Mon. June 23, 2025
Location:  Stanley, Idaho

Application Process: 
  1. Must read the Agreement, the Rules, and the Job Descriptions before proceeding.
  2. Complete the Volunteer Application. 
  3. Pay the $40 fee (instructions below)
Application Fee: *IMPORTANT* Please make sure you're committed to volunteering before you apply and pay the fee because the fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.  We don't require a big deposit to volunteer like other fests, but we do require a $40 fee to apply.  The fee covers the costs to process applications and helps minimize last-minute cancellations. Applicants who haven't paid the fee won't be considered.

Deadline:  There's no formal deadline, but to make things easier on us, please submit your application by June 7, 2025. We will take down the application when all positions have been filled.

Estimated Time to Apply:  6 minutes    

Rewards & Perks:   All volunteers get a cool volunteer shirt! They are custom made and unique every year.  And most importantly, you earn your festival and/or camping pass by volunteering. The total time commitment required for each pass type is listed below.  Volunteer shifts are 5 hours per day.  

  1. Day Pass:  5 hours 
  2. Festival Pass:  10 hours 
  3. Festival Pass + Tent Camping:  15 hours 
  4. Festival Pass + Car Camping:  20 hours 
  5. Festival Pass + RV Camping:  25 hours 

Shift Times:  Select your availability in the application.  Priority given to those with open availability and willing to work Friday/Saturday night. 
  • Morning: 10:00AM - 3:00PM
  • Afternoon: 3:00PM - 8:00PM
  • Night:        8:00PM - 1:00AM
  • Late Night: 9:00PM - 2:00AM
If your application is selected, you’ll receive a welcome email in the Spring with arrival and check-in instructions.  The official schedule with crew assignments will be published by June 15, 2025.  Volunteer positions are generally filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so apply early.

If your application is not selected, you may not get a notification.  Due to the high volume of applicants, we unfortunately aren’t able to respond to everyone.  That being said, unless you volunteered in the past and did something wrong, you can pretty much guarantee that your application will be accepted, as long as there are still spots open within your availability (we'll take the application down once all spots are full).

Volunteer Agreement - Terms and Conditions
By submitting the volunteer application, I am agreeing to these terms and conditions.  I have read the volunteer rules and understand what is expected of me for each crew position.

Volunteers are individuals who freely offer their time, labor, and expertise.  As a reward, I will get a ticket based on the number of hours I work.

I understand that the $40 application fee is non-refundable and covers administrative costs. I understand that if I cancel or am unable to volunteer for any reason, I forfeit this fee.

I understand that I'm applying to volunteer and I'm not guaranteed a position to volunteer.  If selected as a volunteer, I understand that I won't be paid for my services and I won’t be considered an employee of SVG.  I understand that I’m committing to volunteer my time for the passes that I’m requesting per the specifications in the volunteer rules, including but not limited to, 5 hours for 1 day pass (no camping), 10 hours for 1 festival pass (no camping), 15 hours for 1 festival pass + tent camping, 20 hours for 1 festival pass + vehicle camping, and  25 hours for 1 festival pass + RV camping.

I understand that being a volunteer is a privilege and not a right and that it's at the complete discretion of the management and coordinators of SVG.  If I fail to conduct myself in accordance with this Volunteer Agreement and Volunteer Rules, either during SVG or in relation to my status as a volunteer, I may be dismissed, which will result in a loss of all volunteer passes.  It’s the sole discretion of SVG management and the Volunteer Coordinators.   I may be asked to pay for a ticket to continue attending the festival, or I may be asked to leave depending on the situation.

LIABILITY RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT

If I am allowed to volunteer at Sawtooth Valley Gathering (SVG), I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. I understand and assume the risks involved with volunteering, including the possibility of bodily injury or illness.

2. I acknowledge that SVG does not provide any accidental or medical insurance coverage for volunteers.

3. I hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless Sawtooth Valley Gathering, Nothing But Love, LLC, and their officers, agents, staff, artists, vendors, sponsors, management, volunteers, coordinators, and affiliates from any and all liability, damages, and/or claims of any nature arising out of or related to my volunteer work at, before, or after SVG.
