Community violence intervention is about mending what’s been broken and protecting what still has the chance to grow. It takes people who understand the cost of harm and still choose to show up for their neighbors, their city, and the future. These peacemakers lead with love, not for recognition, but because they believe their communities are worth fighting for.
If someone comes to mind as you read this, take a moment to lift them up. Nominate them to be considered for our quarterly Champions for Peace spotlight!
About the Champions for Peace Spotlight
Each quarter, we highlight one individual whose work embodies the power and promise of community-led safety. Champions for Peace are recognized for their leadership, integrity, and the deep impact they’ve had on the people around them.
Selected honorees will be invited to participate in a one-hour interview with our team to share their story in their own words. Their spotlight will be featured in a dedicated profile on our website and shared through our national newsletter, reaching practitioners, advocates, and leaders across the field. Honorees will be asked to provide a professional photo to accompany their written feature and will have final approval on all materials before publication.
This feature is a way to honor their work, share their wisdom, and make sure their leadership is seen and celebrated.
