Ursprung Fest Malt Pre-Order Form
In German, URSPRUNG means Origin. Once a year, we have the opportunity to honor the origin of fest style malt made from grain grown in Bavaria, a spot rich in beer tradition. We start with a grain sourced from a single origin farm operated by the Painhofer Family located in Andechs County. They only supply this excellent spring two row barley to a select few- Ayinger Brewery, Augustiner Brau, and Epiphany Craft Malt. We are fortunate to have a maltster and owner that originates from this region of Bavaria, who was able to work with this grain and farmer for many years prior to founding Epiphany Craft Malt in NC. Each spring, we look forward to working with this pristine rare barley with a very rich history that truly encapsulates the origins of this style of beer, (as well as a little bit of nostalgia to our malting roots). This years specs of the Grace barley raw are: moisture 12.5; protein 11.0; plump 94%. Full Malt analysis will be available after malting. We are honored to be stewards of this local farming, malting, and brewery tradition to be able to unite our local brewers and and beer lovers to this unique transcontinental collaboration.

We are honoring requests on a first come first serve basis this year. We plan to make about 33,000 lbs of this batch (15 pallets) and will start at $0.94/lb or $0.93/lb for pallet break pricing.
