Homecoming Parade GuidelinesJoin us for the Homecoming Parade on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 6:00 pm!
Important Deadlines:
Please complete the entry form before Monday, September 22, by 4 pm.
Safety First:
PLEASE NOTE: In the interest of safety, we've encountered issues with people in the crowd being injured by kids throwing candy from the floats/vehicles. To ensure safety, please have a designated adult on your entry or a walker (or two) on each side of your float to toss candy to the crowd.
Parade Lineup:
- The parade lineup will begin at 5:00pm on the day of the parade.
- THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATION TABLE! Please follow the instructions below.
Lineup Details:
- JROTC and police vehicles will be positioned first at the corner of Main and Spring streets by Ozark Funeral Home.
- The high school football team and horses will be at the end of the parade, somewhere past Anderson Elementary, waiting for the lineup to be completed.
- Each parade entry should fill in as you arrive behind JROTC and emergency vehicles, starting at the Funeral Home and continuing along Spring - Cedar - Walnut - Bellvue - Chapman streets.
- Ensure there are no gaps in the lineup as you arrive. Parade organizers in UTVs will be available along the route to assist with lineup coordination.
- After parking in the lineup, entrants can make final preparations for their entries. Parade organizers will collect your registration form and assign you a number at this time.
- Please arrange for a designated spot for parents to meet and pick up their students after the parade.
Performances:
If you are performing, please email your music to hannah.shaver@mcdonaldr1.net. In case of technical difficulties, please have the music on your phone readily available to play.
Food and Fun:
- Food trucks will be set up at Town Hole Park before, during, and after the parade.
- Join us after the parade at Town Hole Park for a pep rally and bonfire!
