The Academy at Beats, Rhymes and Life (BRL) is a nine-month paid workforce development program for young adults ages 17–24 who are ready to build their skills, gain work experience, and prepare for their next career opportunity.
Throughout the program, participants will receive career and professional development training, one-on-one case management, mental health and wellness education, professional certifications, hands-on work experience, résumé and interview support, and connections to employment opportunities.
You do not need to have previous work experience or know exactly what career you want. The Academy is designed to help you identify your strengths, explore career options, overcome barriers, and develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the workplace.
The goal is simple: by the end of the Academy, we want you to feel prepared to obtain a job, keep a job, and take the next step toward the future you want for yourself.
The Academy requires a nine-month commitment, active participation, consistent attendance, communication, and a willingness to learn and grow.
