Please allow us to introduce ourselves—Amber Conaty and Lin Bustamante. We are honored to serve as the 2026–2027 PTSA 8th Grade Coordinators and are excited to make this a fun, memorable, and meaningful year for our promoting 8th graders and their families.
We look forward to partnering with all of you to make this a truly unforgettable year. Thank you in advance for your support, enthusiasm, and willingness to help make these events successful. More information about upcoming activities and volunteer opportunities will be shared throughout the year.

This year, the PTSA has graciously offered to underwrite the cost of the shirts.

Panoramic Picture
Date: TBD
The panoramic picture will be taken during school hours. While this has traditionally occurred toward the end of the school year, it will be scheduled earlier this year. All students must wear their 8th Grade T-shirt for the picture.
Volunteer & Information Meeting
January 27, 2027
YLMS Library – 6:00 PM Please plan to attend if you have questions or would like to volunteer for any of the 8th Grade activities.

Disneyland 8th Grade Field Trip
Monday, May 18, 2027
Tentative Time: 7:30 AM – 9:30 PM
Important Requirements:
All students must ride the bus & all students must wear their 8th Grade T-shirts.
Costs: $150 – Disneyland Admission & Bus
$15 – Bus Only (for students with a valid Disneyland pass)
Students using the Bus Only option must:
Make their own Disneyland reservation for May 18 and provide proof of their reservation before boarding the bus.
Please Note: This is an optional field trip. Students who choose not to attend are expected to report to school for a regular school day.
The permission slip for Disneyland and the promotion ceremony rehearsal will be available as soon as the details are finalized.
8th Grade Promotion Party

6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Yorba Linda Community Center
Join us for an evening of Fun, Food & Dancing. Dress code will be enforced. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Cost: $65
Promotion Ceremony Flowers
Cost: $25
Celebrate your student with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Flowers will be available for pickup at the Promotion Ceremony location prior to the beginning of the ceremony.
Promotion Ceremony Rehearsal
Wednesday, May 26
Time & Location: TBD
The rehearsal will take place during school hours.
Per PYLUSD rules school buses will transport students to and from the location. A signed permission slip will be required. This will be available as soon as we have all the details. Please return to the school office when completed along with the permission slip for Disneyland if applicable.

One submission per student. If changes need to be made, do not submit a second form. Instead, reply to your confirmation email or contact the 8th grade coordinators and we will be happy to assist with changes.

No refunds will be issued.
Purchases are not considered final until payment has been received. Once the google form has been submitted, you will be directed to the payment portal if you wish to use a credit card. If you are paying via cash or check, please coordinate directly with Amber or Lin. Please make checks payable to YLMS PTSA for the total amount listed on the invoice, minus the processing fees.
