UHP co-chairs wanted to get a group of volunteers that are interested in giving back to the community through the organization Reach Within which houses people who come from abusive homes, neglected families, or disabled persons that are trying to enter back into society. Volunteers would spend time with them providing life skills and a relationship to enable them to feel supported by peers.
This would involve a one-time volunteer training for one hour on a date that works best for everyone, and then attending volunteer opportunities that we will present to you via email throughout the term.
Aside from volunteering, we will be hosting bake sales and donation drives on campus to further give to the Reach Within community.
Volunteering is worth 1 social point and looks great for the CV! Donating 5 food items personal items also earns a social point!
