Is my Child Dyslexic? Assessment for School-Aged Children
This assessment, written in chronological order, will give you an indication if your child is dyslexic or if their learning difficulties have other causes. There are several sections that will give you a deeper insight into their learning style and generally into the gifts and challenges of dyslexia. The sections will include ADD/ADHD, dyspraxia and dyscalculia. I recommend that you finish the Dyslexia Section first, as dyslexia is an umbrella term for many learning disabilities.

It is recommended to ask your child to answer these questions - and you can answer them from your own perspective as a parent, especially if your answers differ greatly.

DYSLEXIA is a learning difference, that mainly affects visual learners. These individuals are creative, intuitive, visual and gifted, as well as challenged in certain areas of literacy and/or numeracy.
If you need a certificate of proof for school, university or other purposes, we suggest that you contact an educational psychologist for a detailed assessment.
