Fall 2019 Cascadia Prescribed Fire Training Exchange (TREX) Application
Gain experience and training with prescribed fire at the Fall 2019 Cascadia TREX, held from September 29 - October 11, 2019. Cascadia TREX will be based around the Cle Elum, Washington area with burning conducted throughout the Central Cascades.

Cascadia TREX is open to all interested in prescribed fire. Requirements for this training are outlined in the application. If at any time you are unsure about the questions asked during this application, please reach out to TREX organizers for assistance.

During the two-week training participants will learn, practice, and share knowledge, skills, and experience in a unique, hands-on training environment focused on fire management, ecology, outreach, monitoring, and operational dimensions of planning and implementing prescribed fire.

Application forms are due Monday, August 12. Space is limited and selections will be announced in mid-August.

Though not required, we strongly suggest receiving your supervisor's approval prior to participation.

If you are a paid employee, home units will be responsible for paying your wages while participating at this training. Participants and/or employers are responsible for all logistical and administrative arrangements regarding paid or vacation time, and any overtime accrued during TREX. It is likely we will be working over 8 hour days each day.

Government employees: a "P Code" will not be assigned to this project incident.
