We all know that Atlanta Photography Group (APG) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, but are you aware that it is almost entirely volunteer-operated?
APG highly values its many volunteers, without whom the organization could not thrive and sustain the programs and exhibitions that provide so many experiences and opportunities. We’ve developed a program to reward our volunteers and make it easier for people with limited resources to become members and participate fully. Each hour you spend helping APG goes toward earning free membership or submission to one of our juried exhibitions.
• 24 hours worked earns one year free membership• Each additional 24/hrs earns one free submission into any juried Show (number of image entries will vary depending on the exhibition). • Once you reach 50 volunteer hours, you’ll be listed as a Volunteer Staff member on the APG website and receive a Certificate of Recognition.
Description of Volunteer Needs:• Gallery Sitter: 12-4pm, Saturday and some week days.• Exhibition Installation: Hang artwork in the gallery (days & times vary) - about 2 hours• Membership coordinator• Event Production: Bartender, Set Up, Clean up• Photographer - document events and openings for use on the website, social media and more.• Videographer - record/edit/store video of artist & juror talks at APG• Critique Group Moderator – Manage and time the critique group
