Applications are due September 16th. You will be notified of acceptance via email by September 19th, and the first intern meeting will be in the museum gallery from 4:30-6:00 on September 23rd.
Through our internship program, interns will gain vital durable skills such as public speaking, communication, time management, and problem solving. Interns have chances to practice their group management and learn the basics of youth development through time in our museum gallery and in Education programs like summer camp. We hope to help interns grow their love of curiosity and learning, as well as pass it along to the next generation of scientists!
Interns will work with our Gallery Manager and Camp Director, spending time in both the museum and in our education programs, mainly summer camp. They will also have individual check ins to help them develop their skills and communicate needs. Interns are expected to attend 2 meetings per month, as well as some events, gallery time, and summer camps. To help ensure each intern is developing through their time in the program, we have two internship levels, with graduation requirements for each level. Details can be found at
