REGISTRATION FORM - Developing Media Literacy for Civic Engagement - 2026 Spring Workshops(s)

The Maine Civics Network (MCN) supports educators in their efforts to better prepare Maine youth for responsible democratic citizenship.

"Developing Media Literacy for Civic Engagement" is a professional learning opportunity for all educators of all subjects and grade levels, designed to enhance the civic learning of your students through informed media literacy. Small group sessions will support each educator. Options include one or two full-day, in-person learning sessions. Monday, March 30th at USM-McGoldrick Center, Portland and Thursday, April 30th at Husson University, Bangor.

COST

$50 per participant per day includes registration, all materials and lunch/refreshments. Thanks to grants from Unity Foundation and The Dahlia Fund at the Maine Community Foundation, scholarships are available. Contact info@mainecivics.net

Donna Short, M.Ed. and Edith Berger, M. Ed. will facilitate the workshop.
