Award of Distinction in Student Affairs
This award recognizes an employee (either classified or non-classified) of Student Affairs who exemplifies and contributes to the mission and vision of Student Affairs: providing opportunities for involvement and leadership, compassion and advancement of ISU students, fostering diversity and inclusion, etc.

Nominations should be based on the following criteria:
Demonstrated commitment to the betterment of the University, their department, and/or students.

Sustained outstanding job performance that is frequently above and beyond the normal scope of expectations.

Proven leadership and innovation within the context of the individual’s role and position responsibilities (e.g. exercising sound decision making and resourcefulness, fostering the development of new ideas and creativity, being a positive role model for others).

Nomination Guidelines:

Individual nominations, self-nominations or nominations from colleagues outside of Student Affairs are welcomed. Nominators are asked to describe how and why this individual meets one or more of the criteria of the award in 500 words or less. Additional material, such as letters of recommendation.

Recipients must be employed in their current position for at least one year.

A previous recipient who has received this award within the last three years is not eligible for an award.
