WISE CREST 2024: Abstract Submission
McMaster's Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Initiative proudly presents the 17th annual Current Research in Engineering, Science, and Technology (CREST) Conference. The title of this year's conference is: “Shaping the Future: Trends and Insights for Tomorrow”, aims to spotlight science, health science, engineering, and mathematics research, encompassing all projects and initiatives.

Abstract Submissions: We invite abstract submissions for both oral presentations and poster presentations. 

Eligibility: Submissions are open to researchers at ANY career level (undergrad, graduate, postgraduate, etc.) and from ANY university, to share their research, foster interdisciplinary collaborations, and delve into exciting research prospects. The criteria for abstract submissions are as follows:
- Provide an overview of the research in 200-250 words
- MAY Contain the following sections: Background, objective (hypothesis), methods, results (if applicable), and  conclusion. Unstructured abstracts are also welcome. 
- The use of tables, graphs, and other images are not permitted

Oral presentations: We welcome submissions of original STEM research, including works-in-progress. Oral presentations will be 3 minutes each. They will be presented in the format of a three minute thesis. 
Poster submissions: We also welcome submissions of original STEM research, including works-in-progress.  Presenters will be responsible for the printing of their own posters. 

Please Note: After the submission deadline, you will receive an email informing you of the format in which you are invited to present your research. Subsequently, further instructions will be sent to you, based on the format you are presenting in. 

Awards: The best poster presentation and oral presentation will be awarded a cash prize.

Late Deadline for abstract submission: April 26th, 2024 at 11:59pm EST
