Volunteer - Community Cupboard of Edmeston

Community Cupboard of Edmeston (CCE) Volunteers reports to the Pantry Manager and will aide in the daily tasks required to keep CCE running smoothly. Volunteers will treat others with kindness, respect and compassion, have a positive attitude, and be flexible. There are many different ways volunteers can help at CCE including but not limited to:  Cleaning, Stocking and Assisting Neighbors.

Responsibilities: 
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs is helpful, but not required.
  • Loading and unloading product from pantry storage into pantry.
  • Stocking shelves, refrigerators and coolers.
  • Ability to interact with many personalities.
  • Takes direction well and is able to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow food safety guidelines.
Requirements: 
  • Volunteer Training provided by CCE Pantry Manager
  • Food Safety Training with the Regional Food Bank of NENY will be provided & is required.
  • Flexibility as the needs and expectations of the program shift and grow.
  • Treats others with kindness, respect and compassion and has a positive attitude.
