Join us for a hands-on experience in
Bioswale Installation— learn how to
plant vegetation that filters out sediments, controls stormwater runoff, and reduces pollution in our city! You'll be directly contributing to protecting Houston’s environment while gaining valuable skills in eco-friendly landscaping. We will also be volunteering with a fellow UH student org, theÂ
Sourcing & Procurement Organization (SPO) to meet new faces and help out together! :)

- REGISTER BY Thursday, 9/26 @9:00pm
**If you can provide carpooling — drivers will get an extra volunteer hour!**
To sign up, complete this google form AND the Houston Wilderness Waiver.Â
Volunteer Info:
- Park along the road making sure you do not block driveways or fire hydrants.Â
- Be mindful of leaving valuables visible in the car!
- Wear closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
- Bring your OWN WATER, BUG SPRAY, sun block, hats, and any item you think you may need when working outdoors.Â
- Any tools needed will be provided.
- Please note that the event will happen rain or shine.Â
Transportation Timeline:
- Carpool and volunteer drivers will meet at SC South theater entrance @8:40
- Depart @8:50 PM, arrive at the event site @9:15Â AM
- After the event, carpoolers will depart around 12:15 PM.
