Bats are widely misunderstood creatures and yet they carry out positive ecological roles that are not only critical for healthy ecosystems but also have major importance for human society. Bats and other animals have evolved fascinating relationships with trees that include roosting, breeding and feeding, in turn many of these animals will pollinate and disperse the seeds of the trees establishing an important and beneficial co-existence.
