Expression of interest for NPQML and NPQSL courses at Montpelier Primary School - Autumn 2020
The West London Teaching Alliance (WLTA Montpelier) plans to run the National Professional Qualifications for Middle and Senior Leadership (NPQML and NPQSL) during the academic year 2020 - 2021.

The WLTA provides these in conjunction with the Institute of Education at UCL which is the world leader for this accredited training and, for the past two years, our delegate and external (UCL) evaluations have been outstanding.

Our training is led by experienced headteachers and we are fortunate to have a pool of thirteen strong leaders who facilitate the sessions. Delegates have regularly fed back that they gain valuable insight from interaction with headteachers from wide and varying contexts, thus having access to opportunities that would otherwise not be possible. All of our delegates view their experience on these courses as enriching and a key stepping stone in their own development, notably to enhance and contribute to improvements within their own schools.

We are keen for schools to indicate expressions of interest in one or both of these courses in order that we can plan for the autumn term cohort. Please take a minute to complete this short expression of interest form. Thank you.

Courses will run from November 2020 to March and April 2021. Costs:
NPQML 5 days - Total cost £890
NPQSL 6 days - Total cost £1,100

Testimonials from participants of the NPQML and NPQSL programme at Montpelier Primary School:

“I would recommend the programme as it has been very well presented, having different speakers each session has allowed for different techniques and leadership styles to be discussed as well as having a range of experiences has provided a much richer experience.”

“The programme has helped me be aware of relationships that need to be formed and how to build on these. It has helped me consider the skills needed to be an effective leader and ways to positively implement change.”

“As a middle leader, the course has opened my eyes to the fact that there is a community beyond my classroom and year group – parents, governors – and this programme has improved my communication with all stake holders.”

“I have been shown how to lead with impact. I have enjoyed hearing about the latest books that help leaders in schools become more effective. After every session I come away with different strategies to use within my school and my role.”

“Lots of research to help support my own theories and ideas, as well as material that I've been able to use in different ways with my middle leaders.”

“I do feel that it has helped me to become more effective in my role as it has helped me to develop my understanding of how to work effectively with the members of my team. I have been able to see a much better picture on leadership and the different roles that it holds.”

“Fantastic trainers, full of enthusiasm.”
