SENSEsational Science 2019 Application - Waitlist
Please note: The workshop is currently full. If you would like to be placed on the wait list please feel free to fill out the following form. Thank you!
We are excited to announce that for the first time SENSEsational Science is open to PK-12 teachers! "SENSE" is an opportunity for teachers to get paid to visit some of the most exciting attractions and nature areas in Tulsa and learn new ways to engage students in STEAM while meeting academic standards. You do not need to be a science teacher to apply. We encourage teachers from all content areas and teacher teams from the same school to apply.
Requirements: Teachers must attend a two hour commitment meeting approximately one month prior to the start of SENSE, attend all dates during June, and attend at least two follow-up sessions offered during the school year (dates TBA). Failure to attend all sessions could result in loss of stipend. Teachers must complete pre- and post-surveys and will submit a deliverable at the end of the session (such as a lesson plan or school action plan). Activities are in the Tulsa area and may require driving to multiple locations in one day. Teachers are responsible for their own transportation. Some activities require attendees to be outdoors and may include walking short distances on uneven terrain.
Commitment Meeting: Saturday, May 4, 9am-11am (location TBA)
Summer Workshop Dates: June 3-7 and June 10-14 (Monday-Friday) 9am - 4pm unless noted otherwise
Follow Up Dates: TBA (multiple opportunities, generally in the fall and spring)
Lunches are provided daily.
Deadline to apply is March 1, 2019. Space is limited and completing this application does not guarantee acceptance. You
will be notified of acceptance in early March. For questions or comments please contact
