Liability Agreement
*
By selecting "Yes, I agree",  I, the undersigned student, and my parent/guardian, understand that participating in FIRST Robotics Competition activities involve certain risks, including but not limited to, those inherent in working with machinery, tools and electrical equipment.

By joining this team, I acknowledge and accept these risks. I agree to follow all safety rules an instructions given by team mentors and leaders.

I hereby release and hold harmless Team 10989 Blast and Keystone STEM Alliance, its mentors, volunteers, and partners, from any and all liability for personal injury, property damage, or other loss that may occur while participating to/from team activities and events.
Media Consent *
By selecting "Yes, I agree", I understand that I am responsible for my own appearances in Team 10989 Media/Social Media activities, and participation is at my own discretion.
How are you planning to pay the membership dues for our team?
*
Please note that additional fees may arise due to team travel expenses, competition registration, student snacks/food/water, and more.
We will contact your parent/guardian regarding payment information.

If you have financial concerns regarding your membership dues, email us at admin@team10989.org for further discussion. We will not deny membership to those with financial situations.

The dues do not cover merch. Merch is necessary to attend competitions and up to the student to decide whether or not they attend. Students who do not attend also have the choice to purchase merch. Expect the price to be $40-60.

Each competition also has event-specific fees. Around $30 for a district event, to $60 for district championships. There will be a fee for FIRST Championships (Final Event) and that will be determined closer to the event. Off-season events will have a discretionary fee.

We understand additional fees can be burdensome on families with financial considerations. The main concern should be registration dues and the rest is negotiable.
Communication
The only way we communicate is through the discord server. Should one not have the means to access discord, does not have an account, or isn't available on discord enough to receive important team communications then they should find a way that works or consider not joining.

Safety is our primary concern, our regulations prohibit adults from directly messaging minors, all in the FIRST Robotics community follow the same rules. Should there be concerns of behavior not involving members of the FIRST Robotics community or Blast Robotics members, then it is the responsibility falls on the student to keep themselves safe from online hazards.

All student channels are student-moderated and all incidents will be to the case-specific moderator's discretion. Further actions will escalate to staff development and then to the captain.

All instances regarding conflicts, issues or behavioral problems with student members will be reviewed on a case by case basis and acted on basis to the Blast Robotics Code of Conduct. No student will ever be kicked off the team unless strictly necessitated which will be determined by both the captain and lead mentor.

We heavily recommend that the student joins the discord server no matter if the form has been reviewed or not. We also recommend that they get the discord contact of the captain.
